Fundraising activities The Canadian Cancer Society hosts a variety of fundraising activities in communities all across Manitoba. Participating in a fundraising activity is a great way to have fun, build community spirit and raise money to beat cancer at the same time.
Whether you choose to shave your head, play in a golf tournament or walk around a track over night, your participation will help the Canadian Cancer Society make cancer history.
In addition to raising money, these special events also allow the Society to provide the public with important information about cancer and risk reduction, as well as about our services and the research that we fund.
Relay For Life Relay For Life is a community-based non-competitive event in which teams of 10 participants walk, run or stroll around a track to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society to support research and services for people living with cancer.
Residential Canvass In April Canadian Cancer Society volunteers canvass their neighbourhoods for our annual door-to-door campaign.
Daffodil Days Brighten your day with a bunch of daffodils! Every spring thousands of volunteers sell daffodils across the province in support of the Canadian Cancer Society
Gala Ball The Canadian Cancer Society's Annual Gala Ball is one of the premier fundraising events of the Manitoba Division. Held in Autumn each year, Gala Ball raises money through corporate table and individual ticket sales, auctions, raffles and sponsorship.
Dragon Boat Festival Shaw presents the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Dragon Boat Festival. The festival takes place September 11-13, 2009 at the Forks National Historic Site in Winnipeg. Racing the Red for Research.
Community FUNdraising Events Be an event participant, raise funds and have fun at special events like Cops for Cancer, Carman Curl for Cancer and the W. K. Chan Diamond Charity Golf Classic.
