Transportation
Volunteer drivers are here for you. If you are being treated for cancer and you do not have access to transportation, a volunteer driver can pick you up and take you to your treatment-related appointments. Whether you’re flying in to visit at cancer treatment centre, or you have an appointment with your doctor, our friendly volunteers can ensure you get there on time.
This service is available in Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Interior and on Vancouver Island. It is provided in partnership with the Grand Lodge of Freemasons of BC and the Yukon.
As the volunteer drivers do not have access to specially equipped vehicles, it is important that you can get in and out of a car without assistance and be willing to share rides.
Depending on demand for services, one to two days advance notice is suggested. As well as flexibility in pick up and departure times.
We’re grateful for the volunteer support and generous donors of the transportation program.
