Legacy Giving / Gifts of Securities

Planned Gift Registry - $20 Million Ways for Canadians to Eradicate Cancer
We are building a confidential Planned Gift Registry of supporters who have made a future commitment to the cancer cause through a gift in their Will, life insurance policy, Charitable Remainder Trust or other planned gift to the Canadian Cancer Society, BC & Yukon Division.  We have a goal to record $20 million in future gift commitments by January 31, 2010, and we have reached $17 million already!  With your help we can fund leading cancer research and support programs for people who have cancer.

We invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of people now and in the future by establishing your own planned gift.  Please let us know about your commitment to the cancer cause by sending us a note at legacygiving@bc.cancer.ca, or by downloading, completing and returning our Legacy Society Membership Form.  We will keep your gift confidential.

"...I urge you to first protect your own family's future with your will. But when you make a bequest to the Society you also help take care of your family. Imagine...your gift could potentially allow your children and your grandchildren to live a life free from the fear of cancer."

Estate Tax Eliminator Clause
This unique Will clause protects your estate from taxation without unduly impacting your other beneficiaries.  The clause ensures that your Will donates just enough to eliminate your estate taxes, but not more.  To view the clause, click here.
