Accommodation facilities are available for patients and their escorts undergoing cancer-related treatments in the Northwest Territories including the Lena Peterson Boarding House in Inuvik, the Kitikmeot Boarding Home and the Vital Abel House in Yellowknife. Contact the Stanton Territorial Health Authority for more information. For patients from the Northwest Territories undergoing treatment in Edmonton, accommodation may be available at Larga House.
Financial resources
Extended Health Benefits The Government of the Northwest Territories will provide assistance to eligible persons in the Northwest Territories who require health services beyond those covered by the Northwest Territories Health Care Plan.
- Metis Health Benefits
The Government of the Northwest Territories will provide health benefits assistance to eligible recipients of the Metis Health Benefits Program.
